Sarah Britten is a South African blogger who contributes to the news website Thought Leader, run by the newspaper Mail & Guardian. She has authored two volumes on local insults and is presently compiling a third. She claims to be "fascinated"[1] by nationalism and national identity. Her PhD thesis is titled One Nation, One Beer: The Mythology of the New South Africa in Advertising, and she "tries not to feel too guilty about the fact that she promotes the evils of consumer capitalism for a living".[1]
Her blog, "Gondwanaland", takes its title from the hypothetical land mass that is believed to have broken up into present-day India, Australia, Africa, South America and Antarctica.
Sarah attended Redhill High School and was a contemporary of Sharlto Copley.
